| The time for a celebration of seventy-five years of performing
arts at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities is upon us.
A quarter-century ago we looked back on the beginnings of the
Department of Theatre Arts and honored the memories with the
publication of “Heroes and Clowns.” And with this new website, we reflect on all that has gone on since the move from Scott
Hall to Rarig Center, we commemorate the union of Theatre Arts
and Dance and celebrate the twentieth anniversary of University
Dance Theatre. And we look forward to what University Theatre
and University Dance Theatre may be in the decades to come.
